Profile

Mayumi Kusunose is a visiting scholar from the Laboratory for Biomedical Ethics and Co-Design at RIKEN Center for the Integrative Medical Sciences, Japan. She is also an Asian Network liaison member of the Ethics Working Group of the Human Cell Atlas (HCA; https://www.humancellatlas.org/).

Her current research interests focus on the ethical, social, and legal implications that arise between genomic research and genomic medicine, such as the return of research results to individuals and the sharing of clinical data for international genomic research, and she is currently conducting research with Professor Joly.
