Laurence Baret
Laurence Baret is the Associate Director of the McGill University Genetic Counselling Graduate Program. She also works as a certified genetic counsellor at the McGill University Health Center in general adult genetics, oculogenetics, cardiogenetics and the Huntington predictive testing program. She has prior clinical experience providing prenatal and cancer consultations at the Jewish General Hospital.
Laurence received her master’s in Genetic Counselling from the University of Toronto. She also holds a master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Montreal.
Laurence is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Human Genetics at McGill University as well as a clinical supervisor and research mentor to students in the MSc Program in Genetic Counselling.
Laurence is an active member of the Canadian Association of Genetic Counsellors (CAGC); she has served as chair of the Scientific Planning Committee of the Annual Education Conference and as a member of the Canadian Board of Genetic Counselling (CBGC).
